Sarala Oak Grove & Garden Southlake is seeking a founding House Manager for Haven House, with an anticipated start date of Summer 2026. This is a ground-floor leadership role within a thoughtfully designed, nature-based sober living community in Southlake, Texas.

The House Manager at Sarala is someone in sustained recovery who leads from lived experience, holds structure with genuine care, & is deeply invested in the wellbeing of those in their charge. This role has flexible hours in the mornings & afternoons. The role's primary recurring commitments are an evening Keller shuttle run 3 to 6 days per week, Sunday afternoons assisting with our weekly workshop, & a Sunday evening AA run in Southlake. This position is well suited to someone pursuing remote work, continuing education, or simply building a stable & purposeful daily rhythm alongside their own recovery.

The Role

The House Manager lives on-site in Haven House & serves as the primary point of presence for residents in both Haven House & Hearth House. Responsibilities include:

  • Resident intake, orientation & ongoing check-ins

  • Urine analysis administration & documentation

  • Incident reporting & house inventory management

  • Facilitation of weekly house meetings

  • Evening shuttle coordination to AA & NA meetings

  • Sunday workshop support

  • Regular communication with ownership & program leadership

This is a part-time role averaging 60 hours per month. It requires consistent availability, sound judgment, & genuine investment in the recovery & wellbeing of those in your care.

Compensation & Housing

Housing is provided as compensation. The House Manager occupies a private room in Haven House at a base rent of $2,400 per month - fully furnished, all utilities & high-speed internet included (view full list of amenities here). For every resident in the house, $300 is credited toward that rent. At full occupancy, rent is $0, which is the equivalent of about $40/hour.

Qualifications

  • Sustained recovery with substantial continuous sobriety

  • Actively working a 12-step program with a sponsor

  • Valid Texas driver's license & reliable personal vehicle that can transport up to 4 residents

  • Strong communication skills & sound emotional regulation

  • Experience in recovery support, peer services, or related fields preferred

  • References required
